This is a night during which students and teachers present together their transdisciplinary projects carried out throughout the school year.
For each edition, the event has a particular theme. In 2023, it was the theme “Amours et Luttes".
PAPS students actively participated in this event. First of all, you should know that PAPS means in French "Pôle d’Accompagnement de la Persévérance Scolaire".
This system aims to welcome students over 16 who have been out of school for less than a year and who are experiencing great difficulties integrating into traditional structures.
For the 2023 edition, the PAPS group was made up of students from very different cultures because they were French, Ukrainian, Armenian, Turkish and Libyan.
All these students were able to create this project by bringing together three skills : their practice of French and English, and their skills in applied and digital arts.
This project took place in three stages.

- First, the students transformed the lyrics of the song “Imagine” by John Lennon to write new ones in English based on their own lives, their suffering, their joys, their feelings and their vision of society.
- Secondly, they recorded their text to music, and the Armenian student agreed to accompany them on the guitar.
- Thirdly, they created a slideshow in English on Canva illustrating the meaning of their lyrics, and therefore called upon their artistic and graphic skills.
During "the Night at the High School"event, this musical slideshow was presented and video projected for the spectators.
From the creation to the implementation of this project, we were pleased to see the cohesion of this group made up of young people with different cultures and languages.
We realized that their written productions revealed hidden suffering and the words made it possible to verbalize emotions and feelings.
