On Friday, October 18, 2024, the students of the Seconde Bac Professionnel AMA (Craft and Art Professions) at the Lycée Polyvalent du Pays d’Aunis in Surgères took part in the #ErasmusDays 2024 celebrations with a special event that highlighted the international mobility opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ programme.

The students organized an exhibition open to other classes and the public, showcasing the seven partner countries of our vocational school : Finland (Savonlinna), Denmark (Skive), Germany (Beckum), Spain (Barcelona), Cyprus (Paphos), Norway (Steinkjer), and Slovakia (Martin).

Since 2001, the Lycée Polyvalent du Pays d’Aunis has been deeply committed to the Erasmus+ mobility projects, giving students the opportunity to expand their horizons and gain practical experience abroad. Every year, a group of around ten students travels to these partner countries for five weeks, where they carry out internships in their professional fields. This invaluable experience allows them to learn new skills, explore different wood species, and immerse themselves in diverse cultures.

Participating in Erasmus+ mobility is also a unique opportunity for students to practice and improve their foreign language skills. Whether it’s English, German, Spanish, or another language, the Erasmus+ programme encourages students to use their language skills in real-world settings, helping them progress both professionally and personally.
The exhibition organized on #ErasmusDays 2024 not only gave students a chance to share their experiences but also allowed the wider school community to learn about the cultural and professional exchanges taking place within the Erasmus+ framework.
It was an exciting day of discovery, learning, and international cooperation, further strengthening the ties between our school and our partner institutions across Europe.
