Projet : You are working on board. A technical problem occurs.
Pair work : One of you is an Engineer, the other one is a technician. You have to talk about the problem and decide what to do.
Niveau B2
Objectifs :
EE : Réinvestir le vocabulaire de la maintenance navale afin de créer un scénario de résolution de problème à bord d’un navire.
EOI : Communiquer de façon fluide en réinvestissant le vocabulaire technique tout en structurant le dialogue.
CO : Rédiger un compte rendu en français suite au visionnage d’une vidéo sur le même thème.
CE : Rédiger un compte rendu en français après lecture d’un texte en langue cible.

In this chapter, students will explore how people face difficulties and grow from their experiences. Through videos, discussions, and writing activities, they will learn to talk about personal and professional challenges, express their emotions and values, and reflect on what helps them stay motivated. Second-year students will also discover the importance of having a growth mindset — believing that effort and perseverance can help you improve. By the end of this chapter, they will be able to share their own story of resilience and write a personal letter to themselves celebrating their progress.
